Sarcophagus City is devoid of life. The Junker enters to search for valuable loot and the like in order to survive in the post-apocalyptic world the eternal rain has left him in. However, as he scans for a rare bottle of alcohol, he is chased by the city’s defending robots onto the roof of a large, decrepit department store. Inside, he is greeted by a cheerful humanoid robot named Yumemi Hoshino. In this rooftop planetarium that hasn’t seen a visitor in nearly thirty years, the Junker finds that not only does it miraculously still have electricity, but it also has a projector that can show him what nobody has seen in who knows how long: the stars. The only problem is that it’s not exactly in the best condition…

Of course, he uses it to cheat on every test, get into a prestigious high school and even get the most popular girl in said school as his girlfriend. However, his dream-life is cut short when he is forced to transfer by the student council president of another high school. As with everyone at this other school, she has superpowers, but unlike Yū, she’s using them to save others from the cruel fate that befell her brother. When Yū is conscripted to join her efforts, he soon learns what destiny has in store for all ability wielders.

Haruhiro awakens in another world alongside many others who, like him, don’t remember their own identities. With few options, Haruhiro joins the Volunteer Soldiers, forms a party with the leftovers and tries his best to make enough money to survive. With no kills under their belts and a purse that is getting dangerously thin, the group realise they will have to push their amateur strength if they want food for the foreseeable future. However, it’s not long before the group also realise how easy it is for a life to be snuffed out when it happens to one of their own. Their already-shoddy teamwork is pushed to breaking point as they try to deal with the loss and keep living in the mysterious world of Grimgar.

A Lull in the Sea

Undersea dweller Hikari Sakashima’s school has been shut down, forcing him to seek education on the surface with his other classmates. On land, the four face the unwelcoming results of an unstable relationship between the surface and the undersea dwellers. This isn’t helped by the fact that the clumsy and charming girl Hikari likes seems to have taken a liking to one of said surface inhabitants. But maybe – just maybe – there’s a friendship to be made between them that could show the adults a thing or two about coexistence.

After being caught in the middle of a desperate peeping operation, the first five male students in a co-ed school are exposed to the establishment’s unusual punishment system. Rather than be expelled, the students have been allowed to serve time as prisoners where their sins will be forgiven if they can keep out of trouble for long enough. Except, it would seem that on the day they were arrested, Kiyoshi found a girl he’s interested in who seems interested in him as well. In order to fulfil the promises he made to her, he might just have to break a few rules. Good job he’s not the only one who wants to breakout…
